We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Salesforce Developer to join our Quote to Cash team at athenahealth. As a part of our dynamic global agile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the quoting and billing capabilities for our major product family using the Salesforce platform. Your role will involve collaborating with developers, business analysts, QA, product managers, architects, and billing operations to deliver high-quality solutions that align with our business objectives and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solutions using the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, business requirements, and company goals.
  • Act as an individual contributor, proficient in developing solutions for Salesforce-related challenges using Lightning Framework, Lightning Components, Apex classes, Triggers, and process automation configurations (workflow, Process Builder, Flows).
  • Administer and configure the Salesforce platform following best practices.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, create technical solution documentation aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop, test, and document custom development, integrations, and data migration elements for Salesforce.com implementations.
  • Create end-user solutions to address Salesforce-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the team in code reviews to ensure the highest code quality.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Salesforce Application Development with strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of Apex Triggers, Classes, and Asynchronous operations.
  • Familiarity with changeset deployment, ANT/SFDX deployment, CICD, and SCM tools like Bitbucket.
  • Preferred experience in integrating web services, developing REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and hands-on experience with Lightning Communities and Lightning Components.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as LWC, Aura, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and software architecture and design abilities.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and writing reliable code.
  • Preferred experience with Data Migration using Data Loader or any ETL tool.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II and/or Admin certification is a plus.
  • Service Cloud experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with editors like VS Code or Eclipse force.com IDE.
  • A well-motivated, effective communicator, who excels in a collaborative team setting and is committed to continuous learning and improvement.
