We are seeking an Applications Development Programmer Analyst to join our Technology team. As an intermediate-level professional, you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. Your role will involve analyzing business and system processes, identifying system enhancements, and contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will collaborate with the team to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of programming languages, debugging techniques, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your knowledge of application development procedures and concepts, as well as your basic understanding of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
- Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
- Apply your knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex problems.
- Analyze information and make evaluative judgments to recommend solutions and improvements.
- Conduct testing and debugging activities, utilize script tools, and write basic code based on design specifications.
- Assess the applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options in circumstances not covered by procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, with a strong focus on safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to policies, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in programming/debugging used in business applications.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the specific business area for application development.
- Working knowledge of programming languages.
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
