Job Description:

As a Salesforce Developer at Unisys, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce.com software and the Force.com platform. You will be responsible for evaluating business requirements and translating them into Salesforce-enabled components, utilizing both customization and configuration capabilities. Your expertise in Apex classes, triggers, workflows, Salesforce Lightning (aura), VisualForce pages, controllers, batch processes, extensions, and Salesforce query languages like SOQL and SOSL will contribute to the success of our Salesforce implementation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform development, unit testing, and implementation of Salesforce.com software and the Force.com platform
  • Evaluate business requirements and determine the appropriate use of customization versus configuration within Salesforce
  • Design and implement Apex classes, triggers, workflows, Salesforce Lightning (aura), VisualForce pages, controllers, batch processes, and extensions
  • Develop and optimize Salesforce queries using SOQL and SOSL
  • Ensure adherence to governor limits and follow best practices for Salesforce development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and resolve technical issues
  • Provide Tier 1 escalation support for well-defined incidents and basic problems related to Salesforce
  • Support and maintain Salesforce environments, including servers, networks, messaging, and database infrastructures
  • Collaborate with vendors following standard operating procedures (SOPs) when necessary
  • Respond to service outages and other problems/issues, performing incident restoration and implementing standard changes
  • Follow defined escalation procedures and escalate to Resolver Groups as needed
  • Work in rotational shifts, including 24×7 shifts if required, and provide on-call support when necessary

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Logical and analytical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex classes, triggers, workflows, Salesforce Lightning (aura), VisualForce pages, controllers, batch processes, and extensions
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce query languages (SOQL and SOSL)
  • Familiarity with governor limits and best practices for Salesforce development
  • Ability to support multiple clients and technologies as part of a shared support delivery model
