Job Description: Software Engineer-Salesforce at ServiceMax

Location: Bangalore/Bengaluru

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer-Salesforce to join our team at ServiceMax. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various field service application modules using the Salesforce platform. As a core individual contributor, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams and product managers to provide design and architecture guidance. Your contributions will play a critical role in realizing the ServiceMax vision and strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex components and functionalities end to end.
  • Conduct thorough technology evaluations and make informed choices based on impact assessments.
  • Break down problems, document problem statements, and estimate efforts accurately.
  • Write high-quality code that adheres to standards and delivers the desired functionality within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Explore alternative technological solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of core data structures, and algorithms, and implement them using Java/Apex language.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer production and sandbox environments.
  • Understand and participate in the build, release, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and conduct research to overcome challenges.
  • Assess application performance and identify optimization opportunities.

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing enterprise apps on the Salesforce Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and their application.
  • Hands-on experience in UI technologies such as Lightning, LWC, and Advanced JavaScript.
  • Proficient in Data Modeling, Apex programming, and System Integrations.
  • Familiarity with current and emerging trends in the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of the Field Service/CRM domain is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in Salesforce platform and application development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and adaptable approach to work.
